PR and Communications Executive

This is an opening with an extremely well-established marketing communications agency based in the heart of Preston. With teams in PR, marketing, brand, design and print, and digital, they are focused on creating high-quality work for their clients, which include professional services, property, education, leisure, retail, public sector, and many more.

The role

This role has a B2B focus, where you will be working alongside senior colleagues, handling a number of client PR and communications programmes across a range of interesting sectors. Your role will include managing media relations programmes for your clients, creating strong news releases and liaising with target journalists and influencers to secure coverage in media. You will also be creating and publishing content on client ‘owned’ media channels such as websites and social media channels, alongside planning, reporting and administration. As this is a full-service marketing communicating agency, you will have the opportunity to get involved in other marketing projects within their design and digital teams.

What we’re looking for

It is very important that you possess integrated writing experience, and able to write sharp website copy, editorial content, blogs and features, in addition to experience of using digital platforms such as website content management systems and e-newsletters systems. Media relations experience is also vital in order to gain editorial coverage for a portfolio of clients, and knowledge of reporting and digital analytics would be an advantage. It is envisaged that you‘ll have a minimum 18 months experience in an agency or in-house environment, within a writing / content generation role, such as within a PR agency, marketing department or press room.
