A leading Healthcare Communications agency is looking for a Principal Medical Writer to join its Medical Communications team in London. You will be involved in a variety of projects from the initial strategy development stages through to final delivery and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of written materials. This agency is happy to consider candidates who are looking to work from home for part of the week.
You will oversee the research and writing of complex written materials and will take responsibility for ensuring quality and scientific accuracy. You will support teams across projects and will be responsible for managing the internal team and freelancers and reviewing their work. You will lead formal client meetings and will be required to provide clients with counsel on complex scientific issues and problems when necessary. You will also work with the Associate Directors/Directors on business development, including contributing to the business development strategy and proposals and identifying and pursuing opportunities.
To be considered for this position you must have a strong science background and have a MSc, MBA or PhD in a relevant subject. In addition, you must have excellent medical writing credentials and ideally have neuroscience, haemophilia or diabetes experience. Previous medical communications/medical education agency experience is essential.
