PR Account Manager

Set it in the heart of Manchester, this fully integrated agency has been working with an incredible number of brands for some time which is a testament to their cultured and innovative approach to delivering results. Due to further account wins they are seeking a B2B PR Account Manager who will be responsible for managing the PR requirements of some of their largest key and new accounts.

The role

As a PR Account Manager, you will work to create and deliver on brilliant plans and campaigns for your clients, leading and delivering through more junior team members. As an Advocate for the agency, you will be a mentor, mediator and champion of all they do. From day one, you will be given the opportunity to work with a range of reputable organisations in diverse B2B sectors from construction, DIY, Trade, healthcare etc. and The successful applicant will be responsible for handling a number of their own accounts, as well as providing support to the head of the PR team, ensuring that all accounts within that group run smoothly. You will execute media relations, social media, community relations and event planning, and guide your direct report with support from the SAM; completing regular reviews, setting objectives and identifying training needs. It goes without saying that you are able to write for a range of different media, both online and offline, and be comfortable helping out on pitches when necessary, and enjoy guiding a small team.

What we’re looking for

For this diverse opportunity, it is advantageous that you have acquired your experience to date in a B2B PR focused environment, which may have been gained in-house or agency. You will be open to working closely with client services and digital teams to ensure a seamless transition of briefs into the creative domain and they are as clear and inspirational as possible. You will also be confident presenting your ideas internally and enjoy the challenge when a pitch for new or existing business is taking shape. It is really important that you have strong media relations skills on both a local and national basis as well as the ability to create and implement a wide range of bespoke PR campaigns and strategies.
