PR and Community Manager

The role

Steeped in a rich heritage, this ladies fashion company has established a strong international presence and an impressive portfolio of brands. Following the internal promotion of the current person, they are now keen to appoint a passionate PR and Community Manager. This role is essentially two-fold, on one side you will be handling the traditional PR activity for their UK brands including liaising with journalists, writing press releases, attending events and building up a great contacts list ( if you have one to bring with you, even better!). The second element of the role will focus on Social Media, where you will oversee the social media campaigns for UK brands. You'll grow the social media community across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by making sure that there is a regular stream of fresh, creative content, including flat lays, video and influencer posts for every brand, every season. The role holds a great deal of responsibility, even though you’ll be reporting to and assisting the Senior PR Manager with developing annual PR strategies, you will be solely responsible for creating creative, innovative social content. This will include working with influencers, creating their promotional gift packages, making sure that endorsements are 'on message', monitoring campaign performances and producing analytics reports. It will be your remit to make sure that each brands’ communications are on strategy in key areas including press preparation, press releases, PR materials, web content and social media.

What we’re looking for

First and foremost, we are looking for a highly skilled Social Media professional. The person who is selected for this role will have a sound knowledge of content, social media, influencer marketing, a background in PR and will never stop looking for the next social media trend. Proven experience in social media is a vital part of this role and you must have experience of managing a small team. You should have strong interpersonal and analytical skills, understand the media channels and its dynamics, work well under pressure and be skilled at juggling a number of simultaneous projects, while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence. As there's lots of liaison involved with external stakeholders, this role would suitable someone from an agency or in-house background. A genuine interest in fashion would also be advantageous, however, this doesn't necessarily have to be the career path that you have chosen so far, you might work in a largely b2b environment at the moment, but have a love for fashion in your spare time. Perhaps you are a fashion blogger yourself.
