A global Medical Communications agency is looking for a Medical Director to join its Science Services team in London. This is an exciting and varied role with responsibility for managing the medical writing team as well as providing writing/editorial support and contributing to new business development.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of assigned medical writers and you will work closely with the European Scientific Lead and account team to manage the writer resourcing of assigned accounts. You will be responsible for writing and/or editing a range of projects and you will provide scientific and strategic input into both new and existing accounts, in particular playing a key role in the development of publications strategy, and in the pitching process. You will also help to manage the successful completion of all projects, from first draft through to final page proofs.
To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:
• Significant medical writing experience gained from working within a medical communications/medical education agency
• Educated to degree level in a science subject
• Experience across a range of therapy areas
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in coaching/training less experienced writers
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
